Pop Warner Spirit Program

Important 2007 dates:

Paperwork return and sneaker sale
DONE - Monday July 30th
Bingham Hall
5:30PM: MM & Jr. Pw
6:30PM: PW & Midget
Must bring completed paperwork, uniform deposit check $150, ads and check for Ad Journal.
Please bring child for sneaker fitting.
No one will be allowed to practice without their completed paperwork.
Call Tricia Zifchalk @936-9068 if unable to make it on the 30th .

Cheer practice schedule:
DONE - First day of practice Tuesday July 31st
Days & times: Mon. & Wed 6-7:30 Tues 4:30- 6
Place: Piping Rock Park
September schedule to be determined.

  • DONE- July 30: Cheer paperwork due
  • DONE - July 31: Cheer practice begins

  • Cheerleaders should arrive with a good attitude, ready to practice.
  • If a cheerleader needs to miss practice, please contact the team coach.
  • Bring a water bottle, a snack and a towel or mat to lie on during conditioning.
  • Apply insect repellent before practice.
  • Arrive promptly for drop off and pick up.
    When picking up, please touch base with the coach and let her know that you have taken your child.
  • Attire: appropriate length shorts, t-shirts (no belly shirts please!), athletic sneakers.
    No jewelry of any kind should be worn.
  • Hair should be up in a secure pony or braids.

    Cheerleading was officially recognized in the 1970's, but has been a part of the Pop Warner program for several decades. The first ever National Cheerleading competition was held in DeKalb County, GA. Today, 160,000 children are participating in cheerleading and dance around the United States.

    Participation in the Pop Warner Spirit Program provides kids an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Pop Warner programs emphasize fun for all and encourage the development of qualities important long after Pop Warner days are gone.

    The Spirit Program is growing in numbers each year due to the popularity of the sport. In an effort to keep pace with the many new changes in the cheer & dance industry, there are a few basic rules that are unique to Pop Warner Spirit Squads.
